Gas Street Works site
I designed and created this site for Gas Street Works. Winner of the 2005 Daily Telegraph/Sage Business Website award! Woohoo! (ahem)

Artisan Audio web site
I designed and created the audio engine for this site, as well as sorting out lots of bugs from a legacy project and restructuring the preload so you don't have to wait for the whole 2Mb to download before you get to see anything. Seamless audio crossfades from section to section are possible in flash, see...

Stuart Mills Portfolio site
Full Browser Flash (FBF) is a way of designing a Flash site that rearranges itself depending on how large your browser window is. Unlike most Flash sites the content isn't stuck in a predefined box in the middle of your browser - as this site demonstrates, the larger your browser window the more thumbnails / content I can show. Stuart Mills is a local phtographer whose work I love, so this project gave me an ideal way to experiment. Try the stills section of the site, and click on a gallery name, then resize your browser.

DJ Blacksmith web site
One of Artisan Audio's clients wanted a quick and cheap 'business card' site to get a few snippets of his tunes online. Not the sort of music I'd normally listen to but DJ Blacksmith himself is a delight to work for.

Dudley NHS Trust NCRS presentation
Dudley NHS trust wanted to be able to let others see their PowerPoint presentation but it really needed a presenter - hence this portable, web-friendly Flash convertion with heavy use of video

Odd transition things: 1 (short) and 2 (long)
pointless but fun to create

In addition to my Flash work, I'm a competent HTML and ASP author; I can combine Flash with ASP to produce highly animated and visually attractive sites with database-driven back ends. The end result is a Flash site with a user-friendly Content Management System that can be updated quickly and simply by the client.

A selection of rough music ideas and sketches that I've put together. Some of these have been developed for use as incidental music - others were written with a vocalist in mind

Song2

*new* rocky/souly song [no vox yet!] somewhat rough and ready

First
Big beat leads into strong bass riff with a bit of funky guitar

Second
Gentle acoustic groove with a chopped up drumbeat. Definite Sheryl Crow vibe

Echoes
Simple cautious electric piano builds to stronger funky guitar

Dance
Simple four-on-the-floor develops to a thundering finish [long]

Strummy
Off-kilter start leading to themic strumming guitar

Soft
Soft lyrical waltz. Builds gently to tidy finish

Björky
Chirpy off-kilter Björk style song. Vocals for illustration only :)
